Our courses are offered in-person, with a strong focus on practical language application. 
 
Our Indian subsidiary for German language courses and examinations, DeutschPro Chennai, is currently looking for a motivated Head of Teaching Departmenet to join the on-site team full-time.

Location: Chennai

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate teaching staff and ensure optimal course assignments
  • Develop and implement teacher management structures and processes
  • Build and maintain a pool of qualified teachers, including conducting recruitment interviews
  • Establish and manage a pool of examiners for our language examinations and coordinate their assignments
  • Teach 1–2 courses per month to stay closely connected to classroom practice
  • Conduct and supervise language examinations

Requirements

  • Several years of teaching experience, ideally in language education or adult training
  • Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate teaching teams
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
  • Experience in recruitment and teacher development is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with examination procedures and examiner management is an asset
  • Native-level German language proficiency (minimum C1) is an absolute requirement
  • Very good English language skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high educational quality and standards
